Restoration and Rebinding

Old books, typically those covered in leather or cloth, have a tendency to damage though use, age or lack or care and need maintenance and repair.

The repairs necessary may be so fundamental as to require a full rebinding, but often remedial work short of this can be satisfactorily undertaken – a new spine fitted or a loose board re-attached. Many factors will guide the approach to be recommended (including budget).

We are happy to discuss the options available  with you and provide you with an estimate of the cost of repair once we have had an opportunity to examine the book concerned.
