A very good all round introduction running from a history of binding, through equipping, up to finishing. A good section on drawing tooling patters and on making marbled and paste papers. Provenance – pencil signature of Mary Bartlett of Dartington Hall on the ffep, with others in ink. A carefully used copy; internally clean; cover faded and rather soiled from handling.
