An un-dated folk tale of the Betsileo people of Madagascar , originally passed on by mouth but latterly written down and passed by an elder to the anthropologist, Freeman.
A limited edition of 80 copies (this numbered 27) printed on Hahnemuhle laid paper using a Vandercook proofing press and an Arab treadle platen. Two coloured linocuts by John Woodcock.
265 x 200mm, un-paginated, half-title, title part printed in brown. Single sheets bound in a stab fashion and held by platted parchment. Parchment sides. Slip-case covered in deep red cloth with printed paper label to spine.
FINE- just a little rubbing to raw edges of parchment sides.
